Must read

On Monday, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets, Hardik Pandya hit a critical fifty yet Sunrisers Hyderabad spinners controlled Gujarat Titans to the score of  162/7 in 20 overs with some good bowling. Hardik gave a blazing performance with a half-century but he failed in the final overs. Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar Kumar and T Natarajan took 2-wicket each to restrict the opposition. It was Pandya’s fifth half-century in IPL but the slowest one as he broke down to switch gears in the final overs.

Captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bowl first against Gujarat Titans. After a brilliant start to the league, the new franchise Gujarat Titans struggled against Sunrisers Hyderabad who had secured one out of three matches.

Hyderabad declared their first win in their last match against Chennai Super Kings but they have not been able to show their best performance so far in the league. Apart from that, Gujarat Titans boosted from the side to look out for this season with three back-to-back wins at the beginning of their IPL journey.

Hardik Pandya-led team has established several game-winners within the group in just three matches with Shubman Gill being the most impressive one with back-to-back fifties in the last two matches. Meanwhile, Rahul Tewatia has come out to be their star in the closer’s role. GT spinners further have been right on the trend, Hardik’s four overs had changed the directions of the game but another pacer who caused havoc is Lockie Ferguson and Mohammad Shami too.

Both of them have been impressed with their performance.

The other important cog in their wheel is Rashid Khan, who is capable of running a riot and can pose challenges to his former team SRH. For the Sunrisers, after failure in the first two games, skipper Kane Williamson got a start and would be keen to score a big one against Gujarat.

Sunrisers Hyderabad onset Abhishek Sharma rested the faith that emerged within him and made a clean sweep 75 last Saturday when the team followed a great 155 in 17.4 overs. Now in the league, he would like to carry on from where he left off. Rahul Tripathi’s role will also be critical and the same for Nicholas and Markram.
