In the 32nd match of the Indian Premier League Season, Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings are set to clash against each other. Rishabh Pant and team are coming off a loss in their last match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore and are presently at the eighth position in the points table with two wins in five games. After Mitchell Marsh tested positive for Covid-19, all the players in the team have been quarantined. Anrich Nortje might come back as if he is fit as the other bowlers who relinquished a lot in the previous fixture.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings have never had the best of times as well and at the same time, they faced a big loss at the hands of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last game. Now they are at the seventh position with six points at the points table with three wins out of six games. After a break, it is expected that Mayank Agarwal will be back for the upcoming matches after his absence in the last fixture. Jonny Bairstow is still waiting to set fire on stage with his blazing performance this season and Punjab is expecting him to come back soon.
The venue for the game is Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai at 7:30 PM. The match will be live streaming on Star sports for television and Disney+Hotstar for Mobile.
Pitch reports in the last few games at this venue have produced contrasting effects and it is one of the difficult grounds to shield targets. It will be good for the captain that whosoever wins the toss chooses to bowl first. It is not going to be easy to post big goals on this ground as well in the games so far.
After the performance in the previous match, Liam Livingstone still had another good outing against SRH, where he recorded a half-century which helped his side to an honest score in the final over. The batter from England could be very destructive in the middle game and lastly, he had scored 224 runs in the six games for Punjab Kings.
Young spinner Rahul Chahar has proved a standout bowler for Punjab Kings this season where he continued to impress with his dazzling leg spin.
