Gujarat Titans on Saturday beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in the 43rd fixture of IPL season 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Gujarat Titans’ player’s partnership of Rahul Tewatia and David Miller took away any chance that Royal Challengers Bangalore may have seen when they closed a clutch of wickets in the middle overs as they followed down a target of 171 runs with three balls to spare. The collaboration of Tewatia and Miller put up an undefeated score of 79 runs off  40 balls for the fifth wicket, therefore it helped Gujrat Titans to a six-wicket win.

However, Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill recorded 50 runs for the second time in a row but RCB with Wanindu Hasaranga and Shahbaz Ahmed combined to take four wickets. Virat fans were happy that Kohli finally recorded his first half-century of the season in this tournament, keeping up 58 off 53 balls. He set a second-wicket stand of 99 runs with Rajat Patidar, who himself scored 52 off 32 balls.  Glenn Maxwell then gave RCB the momentum in the final overs by scoring 33 off 18 balls after which Mahipal Lomror splintered 16 runs off eight deliveries, in the end, to fulfil the target by RCB to 170runs over 6 wickets.

Following the winning of the toss and elected to bat, RCB lost the ultimate wicket of skipper Faf du Plessis as Pradeep Sangwan attacked in the second over to mark his comeback. However, Kohli and Patidar added 99 runs for the second wicket before the latter was discharged on 52. Kohli soon chased him after Mohammed Shami fortified him for 58. Glenn Maxwell and Mahipal Lomror played cameos of 33 and 16 as RCB commanded to reach 170. For Gujarat Titans, Sangwan took two wickets while Shami, Lockie Ferguson, Alzarri Joseph, and Rashid Khan also took a wicket each.
