According to statistics given by the Union Health Ministry at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, out of 30,000 travelers checked for Covid-19 at airports, 10 have tested positive for Omicron so far in Maharashtra. India reported 6,822 new cases of Coronavirus and 220 deaths in the last 24 hours. The active caseload in the country is now 95,014 cases, the lowest in 554 days.
The new Coronavirus variant has been classified as a ‘Variant of Concern’ by the World Health Organization because specialists believe Omicron may have certain unique traits as a result of the virus’s genetic alteration. The majority of people who have tested positive for Omicron have just immigrated from Africa or have come into touch with such people.
