IPL Prediction: Crucial win for MI to survive for upcoming fixtures

Date:

Today the 51st game of the Indian Premier League is scheduled at Brabourne Stadium. In this match, Captain Hardik Pandya’s team Gujarat Titans will fight against Mayank Agarwal’s Punja Kings. Both teams will enter to crease for winning spirits. Gujarat Titans have to win to maintain the top position on the point table whereas Mumbai Indians have been struggling throughout the tournament and this match is the only chance to survive in this league.

The Hardik Pandya-led side has suffered two consecutive losses of the season against Punjab Kings but they are still ruling the top of the point table. So far they have played 10 matches and out of which they won 8 matches. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are at 10th position on the points table with 2 points.

They will consider sticking with the same combination from the last game despite the loss. Talking about Mumbai Indians, they finally managed to pick up their first win of the season in the last game against the Rajasthan Royals. Australian Cricketer Tim David was imminent in the previous match and will be a huge plus point for MI, as he provides them with the finishing role while the inclusion of Kumar Kartikeya was a blessing too.

According to the previous game, the pitch at this venue seemed to be scoring. On this pitch, 170 runs are being chased down easily and the boundaries are short. This will help the batters as. The decision of batting first will have to post a gigantic score for win over. The skipper who will win the toss is more likely to go bowling first.

The probable best batter of the match can be captain Hardik Pandya, He has been in the best form this season but missed out in the last match. The right-hander has already assembled 309 runs in the nine games for Gujarat Titans and played some match-winning knock-outs this season.

The probable best bowler of this game can be Mohammed Shami, He has been in his fantastic form with the new ball for the Gujarat Titans this season and took up to 15 wickets in ten games this season already. The right-arm spinner has been providing breakthroughs with the new ball but he did go for a few in the last game which he will be looking to improve on. Mumbai Indians picked up their first win of the season in their previous game against Rajasthan Royals.
