Delhi Capitals loses to Lucknow Super Giants by 6 wickets

It was a brilliant match, Delhi Capitals gave an easy target of 149 runs to Lucknow Super Giants. Chasing the target, LSG captain KL Rahul chose to bowl first in the match. Prithvi Shaw recorded a great score of 61 runs in the Delhi Capitals while  Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan saved them at the end with a 70-plus stand for the 4th Wicket. The top performer of the match was Ravi Bishnoi as he picked the large wickets of David Warner and Rovman Powell. 

Chasing the target of 150 runs, LSG made a great start- De Kock won the hearts of the fans, whose 19-run over against Anrich Norje turned the direction of the game in LSG’s Favour. Even as KL Rahul(24) and Evin Lewis failed to make fans happy as they were dismissed in the quick Succession, De Kock carry on with the powerful outings and drove the side of the run chase.  When De-Kock fell 25 deliveries and even as he fell, LSG required 28 runs off 25 deliveries. Mustafizur Rahman and Shardul Thakur acknowledged only 9 runs in the upcoming overs, 22-year-old Ayush Badoni kept his tranquil to guide the Lucknow Giants to win. Prithvi Shaw slammed 61 runs but the rest of the batting lineup malfunctioned to stride up as Lucknow superGiants restricted Delhi Capitals to 149/3.

After defeating Delhi Capitals with 6 wickets, Lucknow Super Giants are at second position on the point charts of IPL 2022. Meanwhile, after losing, Delhi Capitals are in the seventh position on the IPL point Chart. With the consecutive third win of the season, the LSG jumped to the second spot with an NRR of 0.256. Meanwhile, The Delhi Capitals remain in the seventh position with NRR now in the negative (-0.116).

This is a hat-trick of wins for the Super Giants! They won by six wickets. DC endured a second-successive loss of the season.
