Mamata in Mumbai on a two-day visit, met Aditya Thackeray, coins slogan ‘Jai Maratha and Jai Bangla’

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who is on a two-day visit to Mumbai met Aaditya Thackeray on Tuesday. However, she could not meet CM Uddhav Thackeray due to his ill health. Mamata also coined the slogan ‘Jai Maratha and Jai Bangla’. She will also be meeting eminent personalities like Javed Akhtar, Mahesh Bhatt and Pritish Nandy.

Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal Chief Minister is on a two-day visit to Mumbai. She flew down to Mumbai on Tuesday and met Maharashtra Environment Minister, Aaditya Thackeray. Banerjee also met Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut. After visiting the famous Siddhivinayak Temple, Mamata coined the slogan ‘Jai Maratha and Jai Bangla’. She will be meeting NCP patriarch Sharad Pawar today.

 

As a part of the All India Trinamool Congress outreach program, Banerjee will be meeting eminent personalities from the different fields during her visit to the financial capital of India. She will be meeting actress Swara Bhasker, director Mahesh Bhatt, lyricist Javed Akhtar, film-maker and former journalist Pritish Nandy, and activist Medha Patkar along with other Marathi personalities. The interactive event will take place at the Y.B. Chavan Centre in Nariman Point later on Wednesday afternoon. 

 

Banerjee will also meet top industrialists and invite them to the next year’s Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) which will be organized by her Trinamool government. Banerjee, for the same, has even invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week. Mamata, talking about her visit said, “I visited Mumbai earlier also. This time I will also attend an annual program of young industrialists who have invited me to address them. Moreover, our BGBS is in April. So, I will also invite them. The industrialists of Mumbai have businesses here also. Bengal is the destination for a new industrial setup and investment.”

 

West Bengal CM also said that her government has invited top Bollywood Actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan to the Kolkata Film Festival.
