Covid Live Updates: According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday, India registered 44,230 new cases of the coronavirus illness (Covid-19) in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 31,572,344, and the death toll to 4,23,217, with 555 daily fatalities.
According to data issued by the health ministry at 8 a.m., active cases of Covid-19 increased to 4,05,155 in the same time period. It indicated that the national Covid-19 recovery rate had improved to 1.28 per cent. The number of persons who have recovered from the sickness has risen to 3,07,43,972, with a case fatality rate of 1.34 per cent, according to the report.
On Thursday, 18,16,277 Covid-19 tests were administered, bringing the total number of tests to 46,46,50,723.
The Union Health Ministry stated on Thursday said that more than 28.8 million balance and unused Covid-19 vaccination pills are still available for distribution to states, UTs, and private hospitals. It went on to say that approximately 474.8 million vaccination doses have been distributed to states and UTs so far, with another 53,05,260 doses on the way.
The Covid-19 immunisation campaign has been boosted by the availability of more vaccinations, as well as advanced awareness of vaccine availability to states and union territories for better planning and a more efficient vaccine supply chain. On June 21, a new phase of vaccine universalization began.
