Saira Banu was released from the hospital on Sunday and came home. Saira Banu’s doctor, Nitin Gokhale, has also rejected rumours that she is refusing angiography and is suffering from sadness following the loss of her husband, the iconic actor Dilip Kumar.

Last Monday, the former actor was hospitalised to Hinduja Hospital. She was released from the hospital over the weekend and is now back at home.

“Saira-ji is not depressed, and she isn’t being difficult in any way, which suggests she isn’t avoiding angiography. As I previously stated, the angiography will be performed after we have established control of her diabetes. So where does the matter of her saying ‘no’ come into play?” according to  Dr. Gokhale.

“#SairaBanu ji is returned home,” Saira and Dilip Kumar’s spokesperson and family friend Faisal Faaroqui tweeted on Sunday. “She was released from the hospital and is doing fine. Your prayers and love are much appreciated,” he further added.

“Saira Ji’s doctor Nitin Gokhale feels that there may be an issue with her left ventricular, for which she would need to have an angiography, although it is not urgent,” he had previously stated. However, we will follow the doctor’s advice. Saira ji is now stable and should be released from the hospital soon.”
