Good news for Mollywood Fans, as ‘Nayattu’ streaming on Netflix

From Sunday, the recently released film Nayattu, starring Malayalam actor Kunchacko Boban, will be available on OTT platforms Simply South and Netflix. Simply South tweeted on Friday, “Gear up to watch the most awaited #Malayalam thriller #Nayattu, streaming tomorrow in 4K & Dolby Atmos.”

Meanwhile, Netflix verified the news by including the film on its homepage and stating that it would be available to stream starting on Sunday.

Actor Kunchacko Boban also shared a Nayattu poster, confirming the critically acclaimed film’s Netflix release.

Nayattu, a survival drama directed and co-produced by filmmaker Martin Prakkat and written by Shahi Kabir, is billed as a survival drama. The film did not do well at the box office, despite receiving positive reviews from critics and fans alike. The film was released in theatres on April 8, 2018, during a spike in COVID-19 cases in Kerala.

Following a hiatus for the majority of the year in 2020, several films resumed production at the end of the year and in January of this year. With the recent increase in the number of cases identified in the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, several films have halted development once again. As a result, many producers have preferred to either release films directly on OTT platforms or to stream films on OTT platforms after their theatrical release

In the thriller-drama Nayattu, actors Kunchacko Boban, Joju George, and Nimisha Sanjayan play the lead roles, while Jaffar Idukki, Anil Nedumangad, and Harikrishnan play supporting roles. Vishnu Vijay composed the music for Nayattu.Under the banners of Gold Coin Motion Picture Company and Martin Prakkat Films, director Ranjith Balakrishnan, PM Sasidharan, and Martin Prakkat are producing the film.

Meanwhile, actor Kunchacko Boban is currently filming Bheemante Vazhi, a Malayalam film. He’s still working on projects like Pada, Ottu, Thaan Case Kodu, and Aaram Pathiraa.
