VGP Marine Kingdom is the famous Aquarium that held the Independence Day celebration, “VGP Freedom Waves,” on the 11th-15th of August. It was admitted into Kalam’s world record for an incredible underwater celebration of India’s rich history and the heroes of those who paved the way to freedom. The event was an unforgettable spectacle mixing art, history, and patriotism to celebrate the country’s independence.
The exhibit depicts important historical events and crucial moments in India’s fight for independence, such as the Dandi March and the Quit India Movement. Each piece of art is meticulously captured to convey the unstoppable spirit of the leaders who steered India’s constant determination to achieve justice and liberty.
“VGP Freedom Waves” is more than a mere spectacle; it’s a heartfelt and profound celebration of the great Indians. The audience, particularly children, were able to learn about the life and struggles of revered leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru Kodi Katha Kumaran, and Bharathiar, as well as numerous other notable individuals who played a crucial role in determining India’s future.
As the day progressed, people gathered at VGP Marine Kingdom’s breathtaking underwater area to pay for a remarkable and inspiring celebration of India’s independence. Divers participated in the Skit underwater, symbolizing the nation’s sovereignty and unification.
This unique underwater memorial combines the stunning marine life of the sea with the dignity of patriotism, showing India’s harmonious relationship with nature. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of protecting the country’s rich heritage for future generations.

The goal is to entertain, educate, and increase awareness of the aquatic world; VGP Marine Kingdom is the most recent expansion of the VGP Group’s businesses, launched on the 21st of April 2019. It is India’s largest and first walk-through Aquarium with an underwater tunnel, often compared to the one at Sentosa, Singapore, and other world-class aquariums worldwide. It covers an area of 70,000 sq. ft.
There are 35 exhibits and counting. They have small and big tanks that contain more than 250 marine creatures, including sharks, the rays of five habitats. The five habitats are Rainforest, Gorge, Mangrove, Coastal, and Deep Ocean. The multi-level banquet area also comprises a view of the ocean from the deep ocean tank, showcasing sharks, rays, and other exotic marine animals.
