Life can be a tumultuous journey, characterized by its unpredictable twists and turns, highs and lows, and unforeseeable surprises. It can be a daunting task to remain motivated and continue pushing forward in the face of adversity. While some individuals may falter and crumble in such circumstances, others rise up to the challenge and emerge as leaders. Pragati Seth is a shining example of this, having faced numerous obstacles throughout her life. Despite the challenges, she has displayed incredible strength and resilience, with one of the key factors in her success being her unwavering dedication to the practice of yoga.
Pragati’s love for yoga started after many motivational pushes from the surrounding people. Earlier, she taught dance and the initial stage of yoga practice, and she became passionate about it. She raised her yoga skills while studying for a Bachelor’s in Medical Science (B.sc.) from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. Pragati was always fascinated by the practice, and as she grew older, she became more and more intrigued by its origins, philosophy, and techniques. This fascination led her to pursue a degree in Yoga and Naturopathy with hospitality (M.sc. Yoga), which she completed with distinction.
Her teaching style is grounded in the traditional principles of yoga, but she also incorporates modern techniques and scientific research to create a well-rounded approach to the practice. Her true passion for yoga provided a great opportunity to be a part of India’s leading research work for Bangalore Svyasa (Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhan Sansthan) for the project named ‘Stop Diabetes Movement’. On the other hand, She also assisted MDS at one of the renowned hospitals in Bhopal.
At present, she is pursuing her PhD in yoga on the subject ‘effect of yogic practices and diet on ischemic heart disease’. She emphasises the importance of proper alignment, breath control, and mindfulness, and encourages her students to listen to their bodies and honour their limitations. One of the most striking things about Pragati is her commitment to helping others. She truly believes that yoga has the power to heal and transform, and she works tirelessly to ensure that her students receive the best possible instruction and guidance.
Pragati’s earlier personal journey was riddled with difficulties and barriers, but she never succumbed to them and instead confronted them with a resolute and persistent attitude. Her life underwent a drastic transformation after she lost her father at a tender age. “My life became empty of thoughts because I lost my mentor, my dad, who always taught me the significance of education and the value of life. Losing him was a profound shock, and it took me a considerable amount of time to come to terms with his loss,” Pragati says.
Despite the immense anguish and agony, Pragati drew strength from her family, friends, and the memories of her father. She devoted herself to her studies, firmly resolved to succeed in her education and accomplish her objectives. Eventually, Pragati established her own community of pupils who were inspired by her teaching and the positive impact of her yoga practice on their lives.
Pragati’s impact on the yoga community has been significant. She has motivated countless individuals to take up yoga and has helped to make the practice more accessible to people all around. Her dedication to the principles of yoga has earned her the respect and admiration of her peers, and she continues to be a leader in the field. In addition to her accomplishment list, she was awarded the prestigious ‘State Yogini Award 2023’ at the International Yogini Award Ceremony.
Overall, Pragati Seth is a true gem in the world of yoga. Her passion, dedication, and expertise have made her a beloved figure in the community, and her work has touched the lives of countless individuals. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a beginner just starting out, Pragati’s teachings are sure to inspire and transform. In addition to her work as a yoga instructor, Pragati is also a sought-after speaker. She has given talks and presentations on the benefits of yoga at various conferences and events.
Pragati Seth, future plans are fascinating such as ‘Yog Gram’ in which people can explore the unique hospitality service. She is keenly interested in working on an awareness drive towards cardiac issues and modern lifestyle disorders. She wants to set up yoga programs, the main purpose is to balance lifestyle disorders. This programme includes many asanas and mudra (posture) that really help to fix lifestyle disorder issues. One of her big dreams is to build a yoga retreat centre named ‘Yog Gram’, where people will unleash their digital world stress and get mental peace.
