Indo-Canadian business collaborations are gaining further momentum with Indian startups increasingly expanding into Canada as part of their strategic growth plans. This is a move that is expected to not only accelerate growth for the companies, but also help create about thousands of jobs over the next four years in the Digital, Analytics, and Technology domains.
One such company, Delhi-based eWandzDigital, is a technology and digital media company that has expanded its geographical footprint with eWandzDigital Inc, Nova Scotia, Canada, in May 2022. Preeta Chandran, CEO at eWandzDigital said, “We are confident that Canada will play a pivotal role in our growth story, as well as enable us to accelerate innovation for customers, enrich employee experiences, and make us a truly diverse and global organization.”
Quantafic business solutions also recently incorporated in Canada. Co-founders of Quantafic, Sachin Kulkarni and Sunil Karande look at Canada as a key pivot for their growth story. Pankaj Kumar Saxena, Founder-Director at eWandzDigital said, “The expansion into Canada is a strategic move on account of several advantages, including the near shore location to the Americas and Europe, a diverse, skilled talent pool, as well as a booming technology ecosystem.”
The Canadian business environment offers innovative partnerships between post-secondary institutions and industry, fostering a healthy start-up community, and making government services more accessible and convenient for international organizations, including start-ups.
In November 2021, several of these companies had been part of a delegation to Canada, facilitated by the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM). The delegation was organized as part of the industry body’s ongoing strategic partnership with the Government of Canada, said Shivendra Singh, Vice President, NASSCOM. The delegation had covered several provinces across Canada, giving the participating companies a wide view of the industry landscape and opportunities.
