Captain Kane Stuart Williamson took a major decision after winning the IPL match against the Mumbai Indians. Kane leaves his bio bubble for  IPL 2022 in the middle and flies to his home in Tauranga in New Zealand for the birth of his second child. It means that Williamson will not be a part of his team’s last match on Sunday, May 22 against Punjab Kings at Wankhede Stadium.

31-year-old Kane flying back to New Zealand after Sunrisers Hyderabad have just kept their playoff hopes alive with a small winning of three runs over Mumbai Indians which was played on 17 May 2022. In this IPL season, Hyderabad played a total of 13 matches, and won only six out of them and lost seven matches. 

SRH reserved their rank on the 8 number in the point table and still runs in the playoff race. The official franchise of Sunrisers Hyderabad gives the information of team captain Kane through their official Twitter account.

The tweet read, “Our skipper Kane Williamson is flying back to New Zealand, to usher in the latest addition to his family. Everyone at the #Riser camp wishes Kane Williamson and his wife a safe delivery and a lot of happiness’’.

This is the second time Williamson became a father as earlier in December 2020 Williamson and his wife Sarah Raheem welcomed a beautiful baby girl in their home. At that time skipper took paternity leave and miss the second test match against the West Indies. He wrote, “Overjoyed to welcome a princess in our sweet home’’. Williamson posted a picture with his beautiful baby girl on his official Instagram handle.

In 2018 Kane gives New Zealand a great gift by winning two famous test series and in the month of April, he became the fourth New Zealand skipper to win a series against England. He also marked a new record in the cricket history of New Zealand after winning a match test series over Pakistan in 49 years.
