Compound men, archers enter into finals by winning silver

The Indians men’s compound archery team did an amazing performance to beat the world’s no. 1 teams the USA and South Korea in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively. The compound archery team with their stunning performance won the silver medal at the world cup stage 2. Archery’s best players Abhishek Verma, Amar Saini, and Rajat Chouhan defeat America in the quarter-final by 234-238 with their stunning performance.

 

And after this win, the Indian team again defeated South Korea in the shoot-off and reserved their seat in the finals where they will compete against France which currently holds the fourth ranking worldwide. Apart from this women’s archery team was defeated by South Korea by 2 numbers but the women’s compound team beat Turkey with a score of 232-231 and won the bronze medal.

 

Men compound team continuing their giant-killing -run the Indians then bounced back and defeat Korea’s Kim Jongho, Choi Yonghee, and Yang Jaewon team in the shoot-off by 233-233(29-26) defeat in the semifinal. However, having started with one point 59-58, Indian players found it tough and lost two ends to trail 174-176. In the fourth end, they defeated Korea by 59-57and made the score equal to 233-233.

 

In the end, the Korean team was unable to handle the pressure and shot one in the outer red circle (7 ) while India shot two Xs at the center and reserve their silver medal. India had begun their campaign with the 235-229 and defeated Italy in the men’s compound section.

 

On the other hand, the women’s compound team get a bye in the quarter-final and defeated Chinese Taipei by 228-226 but unfortunately lost their match with Korea in the semifinal by 228-230.
