The 49th match of season 2022 will be played between Royal challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday, at MCA Stadium, Pune. In the previous fixture, the Yellow Army marked the victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad under the leadership of MS Dhoni, While the Faf’s Army has lost three games in a row.  

Until now, Chennai has lost the matches against Kolkata, Lucknow, Punjab, Hyderabad, and Gujarat. Ex-captain Ravindra Jadeja’s side has had a poor beginning to the season with six losses. But hope has again emerged among the fans of Chennai Super Kings as M.S marks his return through victory. He made a strong comeback to a 13- run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. Talking about the last match, Chennai posted 202 runs target for two wickets in their 20 overs, and in response, Hyderabad folded within 189 runs for six wickets in their 20 overs. However, Chennai got off to an amazing start as their openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway put on a huge standoff.  

Ruturaj was about to get close to the century but he got anxious and soon after that he got dismissed for 99 runs off 57 balls with six boundaries. New Zealand player Devon Conway finished on an undefeated  85 off 55 balls with eight boundaries and four sixes. Eventually, Chennai finished on 202 for two in their 20 overs.

On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Virat Kohli eventually came back to form by recording 58 runs off 53 balls. However, Rajat Patidar scored 52 off 32 balls including boundaries. In the final overs, Australian player Glan Maxwell made 33 runs off 18 balls and helped to chase the target of 170 over six wickets but Gujrat recorded the win by 6 wickets.  

Royal Challengers Bangalore have played 10 matches out of which they won five games and are currently standing at the tenth position in the point table with ten-point in hand. Whereas Chennai is struggling to edge on the point table standing at the 9th position with 6 points. This will be a thrilling match as the greatest Indian captains will battle against each other.
