KKR vs RR Highlights: Kolkata Knight Riders marks their return with this victory 


Rinku Singh’s performance leads Kolkata towards victory as Riders beats Rajasthan Royals by  by seven wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday.Rinku Singh recorded 42 runs off 23 balls in an undefeated 66-run stand with Nitish Rana that came off just 38 balls which assisted KKR win the match with five balls to spare and avoid a sixth loss in a row. 

In the 47th game of the Indian Premier League of Season 2022, Riders marked their victory against Royals. Rajasthan Posted the chasing target of 153 runs and Knight Riders exceeded the target of  158 runs for three in 9.1 overs, this target was achieved with the help of star partnership of Nitish Rana and Rinku singh they played the unbeaten knocks. Rana himself smashed 48 runs off 37 and  Rinku scored 42 runs off 23 deliveries. Previously, Rajasthan posted 152 runs for five overs, courtesy of a half-century by skipper Sanju Samson. Whereas Tim Southee was in good form for KKR and snatched two wickets in four overs. 

 Talking about earlier matches, Kolkata sent out Aaron Finch and Baba Indrajit as their new opening combination, but unfortunately it didn’t work with both performers. Shreyas Iyer and Niitish Rahan have since put up more than 50 for the fourth wicket. The pair started out slow but chose the pace after the 10th over. Before that, KKR managed to keep the dangerous RR batting lineup relatively stopped with Sanju Samson’s half-century and Shimron Hetmyer’s late charge taking them to 152/5.

Nitish Rana ends it with a six off the first ball of the last over and so Knight Riders win it with five balls in hand. Rana’s partner Rinku Singh just came in and took the chase by the cape of the neck. A good delivery by Southee and Butler smashes this full ball for a six.
