After a head to head fight, Sunrisers Hyderabad beats Punjab Kings by seven wickets

Must read

In the 28th game of the ongoing Indian Premier League of this season played at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy on Sunday, Umran malik added a few degrees in scorching heat with his blazing performance by claiming four wickets back to back including three wickets in the final over. Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram knocked off 35 and 41 respectively as SRH beat PBKS by seven wickets. In the fourth over Punjab, Kings got the wicket of Kane Williamson and then Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Rahul Tripathi and Abhishek Sharma stabilised the innings.

Though, Rahul Tripathi lost his wicket in the 9th over as Rahul Chahar sent him out and the bowler then soon eliminated Abhishek Tripathi but prior to this, Markram and Pooran were able to take Sunrisers above the line.

Liam Livingstone recorded 60 off 33 balls as Punjab Kings chased 151 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the match of the ongoing season of IPL.

The partnership of Markram and Pooran raised the Punjab King’s expectations of a comeback. Abhishek Sharma scored 31 on 25 balls and Rahul Tripathi 34 off 25 balls following the pair’s 48 runs stand.

However, the star of the show was 22-year-old Umran malik who, with his heroic move in the final over, restricted Punjab to less than 151 runs. In the beginning, Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a good start as they discharged Shikhar Dhawan, Jonny Brainstow, and Jitesh Sharma steadily after they won the toss and decided to bowl first against Punjab. The orange army is all charged up with the role of re-building innings, and looking forward to more achievements like this
