B-Town’s Disco King Bappi Lahiri passes away, Fans in dispair

Bappi Lahiri, a veteran singer, and songwriter died on Tuesday night, February 15. The singer was taken to the Criticare Hospital in Mumbai, where he died. He was 69 years old at the time. Several admirers flocked to social media shortly after hearing of Bappi Da’s passing to pay tribute to the iconic musician. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit also expressed his surprise at the news on Twitter. “I was shocked to learn about the death of music legend #BappiLahiri Ji. It’s hard to think my next-door neighbor is no longer with us. “Your music will live on in our hearts forever,” he wrote.

In April of last year, the veteran singer was rushed to the hospital after testing positive for coronavirus. Bappi Da, on the other hand, was soon released. “Unfortunately, Mr Bappi Lahiri has tested positive for Covid 19 despite all measures.” At the Breach Candy Hospital, he is receiving excellent care. “As a preventive step, Bappi dada’s family urges that all individuals who have recently come into contact with him get tested,” said a statement made by his spokeswoman at the time.

Aside from that, stories of Bappi Da losing his voice made headlines in September of last year. The singer, on the other hand, issued a statement calling them “fake.” “It’s disheartening to learn that some media sites are spreading inaccurate information about me and my health. I’m doing great thanks to the support of my fans and well-wishers! “Bappida,” he said in his statement. Bappi Lahiri is one of the singers that popularised disco in India. Chalte Chalte, Disco Dancer, Tune Maari Entriyaan, Asalaam-e-Ishqum, and Sharaabi were among his many hit songs. Bappi Da’s most recent Bollywood song, Bhankas, was featured in Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor’s 2020 film Baaghi 3.
