COVID-19 Update: India’s total tally of cases and vaccination

Dated as of December 12, 2021, 132.93 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The number is continuously increasing as more and more people are getting vaccinated on a daily basis.

India’s active caseload currently stands at 92,281 which has, fortunately, come out to be the lowest in the last 560 days, ever since coronavirus and its mutants stepped foot in the territory. The active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.27% which is again lowest since March 2020, the beginning of the pandemic induced lockdowns. 

The recovery rate against the disease is at an all-time high, currently at 98.36%, the best since March 2020. 8,464 recoveries have taken place in the last 24 hours, making the total tally reach 3,41,22,795. There have been 7,774 new cases in the last 24 hours. 

The daily positivity rate is 0.65% which is less than 2% for the last 69 days and the weekly positivity rate is 0.70% less than 1% for the last 28 days. A total of 65.58 crore have been spent so far.

The data has been verified and checked by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and is being regularly updated across all government platforms.
