Among the most popular and sought-after universities in India, Delhi University (DU) boasts of an exuberating fest season, one that has it all – from amazing performances by spectacular artists to delicious food and goodie stalls. With more than 70 colleges spread across Delhi, there are many fests that are popular among the students and which one can enjoy. Here is the list of the 7 Best DU Fests of all time.

  • Crossroads, SRCC – Are you even in DU if you haven’t heard of it?

As is popularly said, this is the best way to enter SRCC if you didn’t make it in through the sky-high cut-offs. Stars such as Guru Randhawa, Salim Sulaiman, Nucleya, Benny Dayal, and Armaan Malik have graced this fest with their presence in recent years. What makes Crossroads so special is the various competitions and activities that one can enjoy, be it ‘The Paintball’, ‘Teacup Rides’, ‘Stomp the Yard’, and other food-eating, singing, and dancing activities. There are a plethora of food trucks at this event and the crowd here is joyous and cheerful. Overall, it’s an ultimate 4 days extravaganza which is a must-visit during the fest season. 

  • Mecca, Hindu – The “Hajj to Hindu”

The annual fest of Hindu college is indeed as spectacular as its name and heritage. Amazing performances by artists such as Amit Trivedi, Sukhwinder Singh, Salim- Sulaiman, Vishal-Shekhar, Rekha Bharadwaj, Mohit Chauhan, and Papon is what makes Mecca stand out! Its ‘Beat Box Battle’, Slam Poetry, Poster making, and dance competitions are just the place to showcase your talent. With every face smiling, every leg shaking, and every hand in the air, you can see the efforts of the organizers coming to life at this jubilant fest. 

  • Tarang, LSR – The Queen of Well-Managed Fests

One of the best fests organized by an all-girls college, the annual cultural fest of Lady Shri Ram College has a way of attracting the best in the business. From hysterical jokes from comedians like Kunal Kamra to rocking music by artists like The Indian Ocean, it is one of the most well-managed fests in the DU circuit. Having competitions such as ‘Battle of Bands’, ‘Write Out Loud’ and ‘Montage Exposure’, Tarang surely keeps you busy and entertained. Also, with LSR’s reputation as one of the most fashionable colleges of the varsity, you can definitely spot a fashionista at the fest 😉

  • Tempest, Miranda – Fest by the Best! 

The annual cultural fest of Miranda is a fulfilling fest. From performances by artists like Jubin Nautiyal and Mojojojo to bands such as Parashara, Tempest is a treat for all music lovers. The exuberance of the fest comes from its competitions such as ‘Battle of Bands’, ‘Izhar’ (Stage Play), ‘Indian Cinema Quiz’ and ‘Tarangini’ (Group Folk Dance), and great food stalls, which attract a humongous crowd from across DU.

  • Nexus, SVC – A-Fest You Simply Can’t-Miss

The Annual Cultural Fest of Sri Venkateswara College is among the best fests of South Campus. With artists such as Ankit Tiwari, Armaan Malik, Jubin Nautiyal, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Mohit Chauhan being a part of it over the years, along with amazing events and competitions such as ‘A Cappella’, ‘Face Painting’ and ‘Bollywood Quiz’ SVC knows how to keep visitors entertained. Nexus sums up as an extremely thrilling experience with its great artists and performances.

  • Renaissance, KMC – The Energy of DU’s North Campus 

The annual cultural fest of Kirori Mal College is an energetic fest with a great crowd. With a guest list full of Punjabi stars like Mika, Jagjit Singh, Parmish Verma, Harrdy Sandhu and Akhil, Renaissance stands out to students who love to dance to Punjabi beats. Boasting of great events, stellar performances along with the classic ‘North Campus vibes’, Renaissance is a fest that enthralls you like none other. 

  • Montage, JMC – DU aaye aur ye nahi dekha to kya khaak DU aaye 😉

The electrifying vibe of the annual cultural fest of Jesus and Mary College is such that it’ll make you dance even when you’ve never danced in your dreams. The EDM nights, boasting of guest artists such as VanMoon, are simply spectacular. With a plethora of sponsors to back it up, Montage has had artists such as Jubin Nautiyal and Amit Mishra performing over the recent years. The various societies of the college organize numerous intriguingly entertaining events and competitions where one can showcase their talent.
