‘The One Where They Get Back Together’ is finally gonna hit the screens as last night the teaser of the iconic show ‘FRIENDS’ reunion was revealed. The cast took on Instagram to reveal the date. The long-awaited and much-anticipated reunion billed as an “unscripted celebration” will premiere on May 27, according to a release from the streaming site.
The teaser revealed, the cast walked slowly away from the camera, arms connected, as the classic “I’ll Be There For You” theme song played softly in the background.
Before the coronavirus pandemic halted development, WarnerMedia had hoped to have the reunion ready in time to launch its Netflix-rival HBO Max platform in May.
The reunion will include guests such as soccer legend David Beckham, pop stars Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, K-pop phenomenon BTS, and fashion icons Cindy Crawford and Cara Delevingne, in addition to the original cast.
Tom Selleck, who played (Cox) Monica’s love interest in ten episodes, and Reese Witherspoon, who played Rachel’s sister (Aniston), will both appear.
Warner Bros Studio lot near Los Angeles’ Stage 24 is the place where Reunion was filmed which also acted as the original soundstage for the sitcom about a group of close-knit New York friends exploring adulthood.
The first episode of FRIENDS aired in 1994, and the show has since made a name for itself. The show is also among Netflix’s top ten series. The cast starring Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer remains wildly popular since its last run in 2004.
The fans are excited and are now eagerly waiting for the show to go live.
